Boo! for Bell a "Spooktacular" Success

Thanks to all the brave souls who ventured through Bell's "hall of horrors" on October 20 and 21! Although the organizers are still tallying up the numbers, volunteers reported seeing an estimated 800 visitors - most of whom survived.

Acknowledgements

The eighth-grade zombies, ghouls, clowns, prisoners, and other assorted creepy characters are especially thankful to Ms. Miller for allowing them to transform Bell into a spooky, scary place so they can put the money they raised towards the costs of the Washington, D.C. class trip. A portion of the proceeds will go to into the D.C. field-trip scholarship fund; the rest will be divided equally among the eighth-grade students.

The D.C. or Bust Committee would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the families who participated somehow (including not just students and parents/guardians from all three programs, but some alumni as well). Many eighth-grade parents volunteered hours and hours of their time.

Although an exhaustive list is too long to fit on this page, the committee would like to highlight the following people for their Herculean efforts:

Event Chair

Jeanne Peck

Design Team

  • Larry Huetteman
  • Mike Oquendo
  • Terry Oquendo
  • Jason Schoenbeck

Thanks also to Mr. Guzman and Ms. Casillas for their invaluable setup assistance Friday afternoon, as well as Nancy Huetteman for overseeing the concession stand.

If you took any photos of the event, please share them with us at bellschool.2018dctrip@gmail.com.
